Christmas Cupcakes

For my neighbor gifts this year, I used the same recipe as I used to make the Candy Corn Cupcakes back in October. I don't know what it is about adding the sour cream to the cake mix, but mmm-mm-mmm! it's delicious!
So here is my Christmas version.
You know when things don't turn out quite how you had envisioned they would? (This happens to me ALL. THE. TIME. when I cook stuff). Well, it happened with these. The idea of festive red and green cupcakes sounded like such a great idea, but in the end, they ended up kind of looking like play dough colors...not exactly appetizing.I was trying to picture what I would think if I was on the receiving end of these cupcakes from a neighbor that I may or may not know very well.
Um...I'd probably let my husband eat them all...because to be honest, they kind of look like someone let all their kids just kind of...go to town. :( Too bad they don't have the "curb appeal" so-to-speak that I had hoped they would.  Maybe no sprinkles next time??
Because they really do taste fabulous. :)

Yummy. I can't find anywhere what you added to the cake mix. I'd love to try them!
