Giveaway: Sweet n Swag Moccasins

As you probably remember, I have a bit of a crush on handmade baby shoes.  I even attempted to make a pair once for Chloe.

It didn't go well.

 Last summer, I loved having soft leather moccasins from Freshly Picked for my kids to wear around town, to the park, around the house, to church...basically everywhere.  Baby moccasins are trending for a reason.  They are easy to put on and take off, they look adorable, they go with everything, and they are soft, and therefore super-forgiving on sizing.  My kids both wore theirs for about six months, which is pretty much unheard of in the toddler years. 

I've been mourning the growth of my children's feet recently, because spring and summer is approaching, which in my opinion, is the best time to rock the moccs...and yet, they've outgrown their beloved Freshly Picked's.  And let's face it: as much as I would like it if I did, I don't have $60 dollars to spend on kid shoes.  I don't have $60 to spend on real people shoes!  What to do, what to do?

While at the Holy Cow boutique this past holiday season, I ran across Sweet n Swag.  Problem solved.  Problem TOTALLY solved.  These moccs?  They were adorable.  They were well-made.  They came in a variety of colors.  By all accounts they seemed equivalent to the moccs my kids had last summer.  Except they were inexpensive.  Actually crazy cheap.  $20.00/pair cheap.  

"It can't be possible!" I said to my husband.  He agreed.  It couldn't be possible...and yet, there we were, staring at some adorable moccs for the lowest price I'd EVER seen them sold for.  Sure, they aren't genuine leather...but they are quality, locally hand-made shoes, and that worked for me.

I took a business card from the booth, went home, and as soon as the kids were in bed I got out my laptop and typed up an email to this newfound company's owner, Shannon Evanson, and asked if I could review their product and do a giveaway.  

She happily obliged!  Then they released more colors a week or so later, which made it nearly impossible to choose what to get.  I went back and forth, back and forth, and finally settled on the Neptune color.  (Oh, and they also sent me Sterling Grey in the next size up, so now I don't have to hyperventilate when Cache's feet grow a little.  Bonus!)

Cache has been wearing his moccs for about a month now, and they have held up so well. By all accounts they appear to be very comfortable.  Though Cache is not a boy of many words and hasn't specifically said so himself, he always brings them to me and says, "Shoo!  Shoo!" and begs me to put them on him, so I'll take that as his stamp of approval.

The elastic has stayed nice and tight, the bottoms look almost completely unused, even though he's walked a million miles in them already.  The only wear I can even see on them is a couple of scuff marks near the toes and heels, which is almost inevitable with any pair of footwear.  

If they get dirty (which so far they really haven't), I know they will easily wipe clean with a wet wipe.  He's worn them both with and without socks on several occasions.

I love these shoes.  I adore these shoes.  I want them in every color and size.  (I wish they made them in Chloe's size.)  And did I mention, um, $20!!!!?????  If you follow Sweet n Swag on Instagram she quite often runs coupon codes, too, which drop them down by several dollars.  

Run, don't walk.  Seriously.

Oh, and haven't even mentioned the suspenders and ties yet!  They are also to die for.  I noticed today the have some new Valentine bow tie styles.  Swoon.
