This weekend my mom and I worked on some more aprons. :) In case you are wondering why we are making {sew} many, these are going to be Christmas gifts for some of the girls in our family....These aprons aren't that HARD, but it's amazing how long it can take to make one....
A Quick Tip: Both of the aprons in the picture above were made from tablecloths we bought at the D.I. (thrift store). It's a great way to get cheap fabric for a project like this. The fabric for the red and green apron above those two was purchased from the remnants section at Hobby Lobby for about half the price it would normally cost. Try it sometime!
Also, we celebrated my birthday over at my parent's house this weekend, and I got some great gifts! I wanted to show off what my little brother got me, though:
A Sewing Box!!!

Very cute...I still have yet to get my new sewing machine out...
I LOVE the remnant bin! That's where I get most of my fabric! I check it every time I am in the store and pick up things that I think could work for something. I also love the aprons. SO cute!!
Very cute aprons, I am just starting to fall in love with aprons. Love your tool box for sewing...great idea.

The aprons turned out super cute! I made my daughter one for her birthday back in July and you are right, it does take a long time to make one especially since I'm a beginner.
I would love to know where you got the sewing box from! It looks EXACTLY like the one my mom had but has since fell apart and I would love to buy another one like it.
